"Dust from Space" received 4th place in the 2002 EOH exhibit competition!

Congratulations to everyone that worked on the "Dust from Space", it received fourth place in the EOH exhibit competition!!! I'm sure this will please everyone that worked on the project.

An aligned, stacked, unsharp mask-processed image resulting from a movie recorded with a Philips Vesto Pro webcam attached to an 8" SCT The camera was mounted at prime focus in place of the eyepiece, taped to an old eyepiece barrel. These images were taken on March 3, 2002. All of the image processing was done using the older 0.9b version of the free program Astrostack

The camera was mounted at prime focus in place of the eyepiece, taped to an old eyepiece barrel. These images were taken on January 28, 2002. All of the image processing was done using the older 0.9b version of the free program Astrostack
Our first attempt, using a Philips Vesta Pro webcam, attached to an 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope on a night with bad seeing but good transparency. The camera was mounted at prime focus in place of the eyepiece, taped to an old eyepiece barrel. These images were taken on January 13, 2002. All of the image processing was done using the older 0.9b version of the free program Astrostack
